Project Manager in Commercial Construction

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
  • Estimate projects
  • Buyout project and issue subcontract agreements
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Monitor project progress, company labor, subcontractors, suppliers, safety, and required owner reports.
  • Approve subcontractor’s/supplier’s pay applications
  • Issue pay applications to Owner
  • Code incoming project invoices
  • Assist superintendent with constructability reviews
  • Control tracking of all documentation (logs) with use of software
  • Issue Request for Information (RFI) to Architects
  • Distribute replies to responsible parties
  • Control submittal logs and keep architect updated on status of outstanding items
  • Prepare Closing Documents
  • Assist Superintendent in completing preliminary punch lists
  • Handle warranty work as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or similar, and minimum of 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Extensive experience in construction engineering principles and techniques
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building construction materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures
  • Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, various building systems
  • Project management of competing demands, and meet established deadlines
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience managing staff, able to provide direction, delegation, and performance feedback
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications, and Microsoft Project.
